SAVE THE DATE: Friday, 29 March – ‘Apprenticeships: supporting community-based roles across health and care’

This workshop will explore employer demand for a new Level 3 apprenticeship standard aimed at community-based roles in public health, health and care. These might include health trainers, community connectors, social prescribing link workers, care navigators, health mentors, community development officers, wellbeing assistants etc. The apprenticeship could provide an additional entry pathway to public health, and support staff recruitment, career development and workforce/succession planning.

The workshop may be of interest to a range of employers, including but not limited to:

  • local provider organisations delivering health and wellbeing services and which employ roles of this kind
  • commissioners and providers of services (eg local authorities)
  • PHE and NHS teams

This event will be of interest to employers in the wider public health system and, also, further education organisations that deliver Level 3 health and wellbeing training.

A web link will be circulated shortly to enable participants to register their attendance. In the meantime, if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to email sp-phskf@phe.gov.uk.
