The needs of local populations, service models in place and commissioning arrangements in relation to healthcare interventions for vulnerable migrants vary across Yorkshire and Humber. These pages have been developed to support a range of stakeholders to develop and improve services for this population and to encourage agencies to share learning, provide information about how services can be developed and start to facilitate a professional network around migrant health across Yorkshire and Humber. A regional group was set up in December 2020 to lead this work (Yorkshire and Humber Migrant Health Group) and initially work has focused on asylum seekers. However, the health needs of other vulnerable migrants such as unaccompanied asylum seeker children, refugees and those with no recourse to public funds are also to be addressed.
