The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) officially launched on 1 October 2021 with the aim of tackling health inequalities across the country. As part of DHSC, OHID brings together expert advice, analysis and evidence with policy development and implementation working with the whole of government, the NHS, local government, industry and wider partners to shape and drive health improvement and equalities priorities for government.
The Yorkshire & the Humber Health and Wellbeing Team is looking to recruit a Health and Wellbeing Support Manager to support our work with partners to address health disparities. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about health disparities and can bring people together across organisational boundaries to take action and improve outcomes.
The Health and Wellbeing Support Manager will support and coordinate a number of complex and collaborative public health programmes spanning the public health system in Yorkshire and the Humber.
Working as part of the Health and Wellbeing Team in Yorkshire and the Humber, and supported by our Health & Wellbeing Programme Managers and Programme Leads, the postholder will provide project/programme management support; and public health expertise and advice to support local government, the NHS, and other partners in driving improvements in health outcomes and reducing health disparities.
