Job Vacancy - Community Anchor Wakefield

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Anchor Liaison Lead within the Wakefield District 0-19 Service. This role aims to connect organisations and contribute to creating Healthy, Sustainable Communities in the Wakefield District and does not require a nursing qualification. Our vision is that Wakefield District children and young people will grow up in thriving communities where they are happy, healthy, and safe.

This is a new public health role within the 0-19 service developed to support integrated delivery of the 0-19 healthy child programme through collaborative working with key delivery partners including the Voluntary Community Social Enterprise Sector.

The Community Anchor Liaison role will shape services based on specific geographies and communities, creating a bespoke offer across the Wakefield District by working with families and services to help them achieve their potential and dreams.

The Community Anchor role will support the delivery of integrated place-based services by working collaboratively with key delivery partners including the Voluntary Community Social Enterprise Hubs and Anchors. and developing the Wakefield Families Together Family and Youth Hub.

The role will support to deliver community initiatives and activities to build community capacity, empower individuals and identify shared priorities, to support the most disadvantaged and vulnerable.
