Making Every Contact Count

Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is an approach to behaviour change that uses the millions of day-to-day interactions that organisations and people have with other people to support them in making positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

In Yorkshire and the Humber we have established a ‘Community of Improvement’ (CoI) Network in place which is a defined strategic network jointly owned by the Office for Health Improvement and Disaparities and the Y&H Association of Directors of Public Health. The MECC CoI provides a joint approach for the development of a work plan that will support the improvement of public health outcomes within Yorkshire and Humber.  For further information on the MECC CoI, click here.

We are in the process of developing this page as a hub for freely accessible training, tools and resources as we look to create a social movement for MECC within Y&H.

When you have had a MECC conversation, please let your friends and colleagues know on Twitter using #meccithappen. Thank you for your support!
