Webinar - Levelling up the North: Planning Healthier Places
Aim of the event:
The aim of this event is to encourage Public Health and Planning co-production across the North of England to make places healthier. We will establish, maintain and promote Public Health, Planning and other key partners to work together in local authorities to reduce spatial inequality and improve the health and wellbeing of residents.
Objectives of the event:
• Recognise shared interests and goals to improve the health, wellbeing and aspirations of our residents
• Bring together experts to share and collaborate on healthy place-making and establish regional communities of best practice
• Identify and share data, intelligence and guidance including practical tools that can be used. This will include showcasing the best examples of working together
• Find or develop a blueprint to success with Local Plans that is effective and also accepted by the Planning Inspectorate.
• Put together pan northern and regional workshops and webinars that are responsive to the needs and issues identified by stakeholders
• Gather a collective desire to form regional planning and health network
• Understand any professional limitations and challenges in Public Health and Planning in achieving these objectives
